SUP is a naturally mindful and stress busting activity.  Gentle rhythmic movement, the sound of the water on your paddle, beautiful scenery and wildlife.   In our Mindful Paddle, we will meander up the Wey, with a guided paddle using all of our senses.    Simply being near water can help reduce anxiety, and combining this with the benefits of gentle exercise makes SUP the perfect way to relax.

Join us for a Mindful Paddle on the Wey.  De-stress and be calm by integrating mindfulness with SUP.
SUP is a naturally mindful and stress busting activity.  Gentle rhythmic movement, the sound of the water on your paddle, beautiful scenery and wildlife.   In our Mindful Paddle, we will meander up the Wey, with a guided paddle using all of our senses.    Simply being near water can help reduce anxiety, and combining this with the benefits of gentle exercise makes SUP the perfect way to relax.
In a small group of max 6 people, the session will involve:
–  Meet, greet and setting up from our peaceful wharf from 5.30pm – to be ready to get on the water for 6pm.   –  Safety and River Wey briefing –  Short pre-paddle stretch –  Guided mindful paddle along the Wey focussing on awareness of our breathing, movement of the paddle stroke, awareness of our surroundings and our body –  A stop to take in nature and breath-  8pm Return to our base at Godalming Wharf-  Finish with the intention to be mindful for the rest of our week
Age 18+ and aimed at people who can already paddleboard as we won’t be teaching Paddleboarding during this session.  Being able to already paddleboard allows us to focus on the mindful aspects of paddling & blue space theory.
Please bring water, comfortable clothing, footwear for crossing over the lock, your board, a buoyancy aid (available to borrow) and a leash.
